Food Ingredients Committee (FIG)
The Food Ingredients (FIG) Committee covers issues relating to food ingredients and food improvement agents which affect, or have the potential to affect, the interests of UK food and drink manufacturers. It encourages proportionate risk management actions across the UK, EU and Codex in relation to the use of food additives, flavourings, enzymes and processing aids.

- Monitors regulatory and scientific developments relating to food additives, flavourings, enzymes and processing aids.
- Works with UK authorities and relevant stakeholders, including FoodDrinkEurope, to influence developments in national, EU and international policy on food additives.
- Supports members in anticipating and implementing legislation on food ingredients
